The starting point
The client runs electrical, air conditioning, security system and data cabling jobs out of Melbourne’s northern suburbs. The project covered its logo, stationery, van and website, with the goal of one consistent identity across all of them.
The website also needed a structure that matched how people search for trades in Melbourne: by service and by suburb.
What we did
- Redesigned the logo We rebuilt the mark under a name that covers both trades, Electrical & HVAC, and signed off the final version on March 19, 2025. The client received AI, SVG, PNG, PDF and JPG files plus the fonts.
- Built the brand kit Business card and letterhead designs followed the new logo, along with a Facebook profile version of the mark.
- Designed the van wrap We mocked up the wrap on the client’s own van photos, front-on and at an angle.
- Planned the site and its keywords Keyword research covered four service lines, grouped as key phrases, search terms, technical terms, process terms and local trade slang like “sparky”. The URL plan mapped 21 pages: 8 core pages, 5 service pages and 8 suburb landing pages, each with a title, meta description, focus keyword and H1 to H3 outline.
- Scoped the website mockups The Phase 2 plan scoped 12 to 14 mockups covering the homepage, service pages, suburb pages and main pages, with a mobile-responsive layout. For each image slot we offered 2 to 4 options for the client to pick from.
- Scoped the local SEO phase A July 2025 plan set out the next stage: Google Business Profile setup and verification, a 30-post blog cluster around 3 to 5 core topics, 5 business directory profiles, 10 backlinks with a citation audit, and one month of social posting.

Why the order mattered
We did the brand first and the website second. Once the logo was signed off in March 2025, every later piece, from the letterhead to the van to the website colors, had one reference to match.
The suburb pages came from the service-area list for the business: 25 suburbs near the base for the homepage section, and a wider list for the locations hub. That’s the same order we use for any local SEO build, starting with the home suburb and moving out.
What we’d point out
This is a delivery case study. We don’t have ranking or call data, and the files don’t confirm whether the site went live from this plan or which Phase 2 items were delivered, so we haven’t claimed any results.
The design work is the strong part of this job, and it’s best seen. If you want the same kind of joined-up identity for your trade business, see our branding and design service or ask us for examples on WhatsApp.
