What a modern AI chatbot does
An AI chatbot is a conversational assistant, powered by a large language model, that answers questions and completes simple tasks in plain language. Older bots followed rigid button menus and fell apart when a customer typed something unexpected. Current bots understand free-form questions, answer from your own approved content, and can look things up or take actions in your systems.
The useful ones do more than talk. They check whether a time slot is free and book it, look up an order’s delivery status, collect the details a quote needs, or open a support ticket with everything your team needs to resolve it. When a question goes beyond what the bot should handle, it passes the conversation to a person with a summary.
We build chatbots for small and mid-sized businesses serving customers in the US, Canada, the UK, Europe and Australia, from our office in Lahore. Every bot is grounded in your content and limited to the jobs you approve.
Chatbots we build
Website chatbot
A chat widget on your site that answers questions about services, pricing approach and policies, captures lead details and books calls or appointments.
WhatsApp chatbot
An assistant on the WhatsApp Business Platform that handles inquiries, order updates and booking requests in the app your customers already use.
Customer support bot
A first line of support that resolves common questions from your help center, checks order or account status, and opens tickets for the rest.
Booking and appointment bot
Reads availability from your calendar or booking system, offers suitable times, confirms the slot and sends reminders.
Voice agents
AI phone agents that answer calls, handle simple questions and bookings, take messages after hours and transfer to staff when needed.
Knowledge-base bot
A retrieval-based assistant that answers only from your documents, manuals or SOPs and cites the source, for customers or internal staff.
How we build a chatbot
- Free audit We review the questions customers ask most, the channels they use, and the systems the bot would need to reach.
- Proposal and scope A written proposal with a fixed monthly scope and price, listing what the bot will and won’t handle.
- Content and conversation design We gather your FAQs, policies and product data, write the bot’s instructions and tone, and define when it hands off to a person.
- Build and connect We build the bot and connect it to your calendar, CRM, store or help desk with limited permissions.
- Test and approve You test it with real questions, including awkward ones. It goes live only after you sign off.
- Run and improve We review conversations, fix wrong or weak answers, add new content and report every two weeks.
Handoff, accuracy and guardrails
A chatbot that makes things up does more harm than no chatbot. We ground answers in your approved content, instruct the bot to say when it doesn’t know, and block topics it shouldn’t discuss, like legal or medical advice. Prices, policies and promises come only from sources you control.
Handoff is designed from day one. Customers can ask for a person at any point, and the bot routes the conversation to email, your help desk, WhatsApp or a live chat inbox with a summary attached. If you don’t have staff to cover that inbox, our non-voice BPO team can handle chat and email support during agreed hours.
Conversation logs are stored in systems you own, personal data is kept to what’s needed, and the AI providers we use offer business terms that exclude training on your data by default. We’ll walk you through the setup for your channels during the audit.
Where chatbots fit with the rest of your systems
A chatbot is the front end. The real value often comes from what happens behind it: leads written to your CRM, bookings added to the calendar, tickets created with the right tags. That back-end work is part of our AI workflow automation practice, and bots that take multi-step actions are built as custom AI agents.
If your CRM or booking tool needs extending first, our integrations and API and custom CRM development teams handle that. A website chatbot also works best on a fast, clear site, which our website design and development team builds.
Questions we get about AI chatbot development
Which AI models do your chatbots use?
Usually Claude or OpenAI’s GPT models, chosen by testing which one answers your questions most accurately at a sensible cost. We keep the bot’s content and instructions separate from the model so it can be switched later.
Can the chatbot answer only from our own information?
Yes. Knowledge-base bots retrieve passages from your documents and answer from those, with instructions to say when the answer isn’t there. That’s the setup we recommend for anything involving policies or pricing.
Does a WhatsApp chatbot need a special account?
It runs on the WhatsApp Business Platform, which needs a verified business and a phone number registered for it. Meta charges for some conversation types, billed to your account. We handle the setup and explain the costs up front.
Can a voice agent replace our receptionist?
It can take after-hours calls, answer common questions and book appointments, which frees up staff time. For complex or sensitive calls, we set it to transfer to a person or take a detailed message.
How is chatbot development priced?
It’s priced after a free audit, based on the channels, connected systems and volume of conversations. You’ll get a fixed monthly scope and price in writing before we start, and you can reach us by phone, WhatsApp or email without booking a sales call.
