Shopify Store Development

We set up, build and extend Shopify stores: theme work, product imports, payments, shipping, apps and migrations. Every change is built on a staging copy you approve before it reaches your customers.

Shopify store development, start to finish

Shopify store development is the work of setting up, designing and extending a Shopify store so it sells your products the way your business runs. That covers the settings customers never see, like taxes, shipping zones and payment capture, and the parts they do, like product pages, collections and checkout.

We build Shopify stores from our office in DHA Phase 1, Lahore, and have worked on websites and online stores since 2018. Store owners in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe and Australia come to us for a new store, a custom theme, or help with a store that’s grown messy as apps and edits piled up.

Shopify is part of our wider ecommerce store setup and development service. If you’re still choosing a platform, we’ll tell you in writing whether Shopify or another option fits your catalog and team better.

What we build on Shopify

Pick one piece of work or hand us the whole store.

New store setup

Plan, domain, payments, taxes, shipping zones, policies and notification emails, set up and tested before launch.

Custom theme work

Theme sections and templates built in Liquid on an Online Store 2.0 theme, so you can rearrange them in the theme editor.

Product and catalog setup

Bulk product imports by CSV, variants, metafields for specs and size charts, and collections with automated rules.

Apps and connections

Reviews, subscriptions, email marketing and inventory apps chosen with you, plus links to your accounting or warehouse tools.

Store migrations

Products, customers and orders moved from another platform, with redirects mapped so old links keep working.

Speed and cleanup

Unused apps and leftover code removed, images resized and theme scripts trimmed so pages load faster.

How a Shopify project runs

  1. Free review Send your store link or brief. We look at your catalog, theme, apps and goals, and send back questions if anything is unclear.
  2. Written proposal You get a fixed scope and price that names the pages, features, apps and migrations included, so there are no surprises.
  3. Build on staging We work on a duplicate theme or a development store, so your live store keeps selling while we build.
  4. Review and test You review each stage. We place test orders, check emails, taxes and shipping, and test on phones and desktops.
  5. Launch and handover We publish the new theme or remove the password page, hand back every login and send a short guide for your team.
  6. Ongoing support Keep us on for monthly changes and new features, with a report every two weeks while work is active.

What’s included before any store goes live

Every Shopify build we deliver passes the same pre-launch checks. You can see the full version in our Shopify store setup checklist.

  • Payments, taxes and shipping rates tested with real test orders
  • Order, shipping and abandoned checkout emails branded and checked
  • Page titles, meta descriptions and URL handles set for key pages
  • Google Analytics 4 and Search Console connected, sitemap submitted
  • Every template checked on mobile and desktop
  • Store and app accounts registered in your name, not ours

When to hire a Shopify developer

You can launch a simple store on a stock theme without code, and many owners should. A Shopify developer earns their fee when you need sections the theme doesn’t offer, product logic like bundles or made-to-order options, a migration with years of orders and URLs, or a link between Shopify and your inventory or accounting system.

If you’re an agency selling Shopify builds to your own clients, we can do the work under your brand. Our white label web development page explains how that works. Brands that want help beyond the store itself, with ads, SEO and automation, can see our page for ecommerce brands.

Questions about Shopify store development

Do you build new Shopify stores or work on existing ones?

Both. We set up new stores from scratch and take on existing stores that need theme changes, new features, speed fixes or a cleanup of apps and settings. For existing stores we start with a short review so we know what we’re working with.

Can you move our store to Shopify from another platform?

Yes. We move products, customers and order history from WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, BigCommerce and similar platforms, then map every old URL to its new address with redirects so search rankings carry over as far as possible.

Will we be able to edit the store ourselves?

Yes. We build theme sections you can rearrange and edit in the Shopify theme editor, and we hand over a short guide for the tasks you’ll do most, like adding products and changing banners.

How is Shopify development priced?

Each project is priced after a free review of your store or brief. You get a written proposal with a fixed scope and price. For a starting figure before you talk to us, use the website cost calculator.

Are you an official Shopify partner?

No. We’re an independent team that builds on Shopify and other ecommerce platforms, so our recommendations aren’t tied to any vendor relationship.
