Google announced on November 5, 2026 that Gemini in Google Forms can now turn form responses into “actionable insights”. According to the Google Workspace Updates blog, Gemini reads your responses, finds trends and suggests next steps, all from the Responses tab of a form.

What’s new

Google says Gemini analyzes responses by writing and running Python code, so counts, percentages and comparisons come from your actual data. It also looks for links between answers to different questions, then summarizes the main takeaways and recommends what to do next.

Google gives three examples of where it helps: event and product feedback, research surveys, and registration or application forms. For a small business, that covers post-purchase surveys, workshop sign-ups, quote requests and hiring forms, the kinds of forms where answers pile up in a spreadsheet and get skimmed once.

The rollout is gradual. Rapid Release domains started on November 2, and Scheduled Release domains start on November 19, with up to 15 days before the feature shows up in each case.

Who it affects

It’s built for teams that run customer feedback surveys, event sign-ups, intake forms or job applications through Google Forms. It’s included in Business Standard and Plus, Enterprise Standard and Plus, Education Plus, and the Google AI Pro and Ultra consumer plans. Business Starter isn’t on the list.

Admins need smart features and personalization turned on for users to see Gemini in the side panel of Workspace apps.

Our take

This is handy for the feedback forms that collect hundreds of answers nobody reads. We’d check two things this week: confirm your plan qualifies and smart features are on, then run it on last quarter’s feedback form and compare its findings with what you already know. Spot-check any number before it goes in a report. For a form with only a couple of dozen answers, reading them yourself is still quicker. A summary is also no substitute for getting each response into your CRM, where your team can follow up on it.
