Microsoft announced three new features for Microsoft Clarity, its free website analytics tool, on November 4, 2026: Agentic Analytics, Ask Clarity and a wider rollout of Brand Agents, which now covers local service businesses. Microsoft said on the Clarity blog that all three are available globally to Clarity users, and that weekly sessions from AI agents in its own data nearly doubled in three weeks to almost 2 million.
What’s new
- Agentic Analytics. A new Agent Activity dashboard shows which supported AI agents visit your site and what they do there, from searches and form submissions to bookings and checkout. Simulation assessments test whether an agent can finish a task, starting with commerce and travel scenarios.
- Ask Clarity. You type a question about visitor behavior and Clarity answers with links to the session recordings behind it. Microsoft said AI visibility and advertising data are coming later.
- Brand Agents. Eligible WooCommerce and Shopify merchants can have products shown across Microsoft Copilot, Bing and MSN. For local businesses, the agent sits on your website, helps visitors pick a service and books it through tools like Square, Jobber, HubSpot, Calendly, Housecall Pro or Salesforce. Microsoft said eligible WordPress businesses can start today.
Who it affects
Microsoft says the features are live for all Clarity users, so a business already running Clarity should see the agent dashboard and Ask Clarity in its project. Online stores on WooCommerce or Shopify should look at the product discovery option, and home services firms and clinics that take bookings online are the target for the local version of Brand Agents.
Our take
The agent dashboard is the useful part for most small business sites. Microsoft points out that most analytics setups were built for human visitors, and an agent that gets stuck on a form costs you the sale without leaving a trace. We’d open Agent Activity this week and run a simulation on your checkout or booking form. We’d test Brand Agents carefully before switching it on, since an AI agent quoting the wrong service or booking the wrong slot does more harm than a missed lead. Read Microsoft’s Clarity announcement for the eligibility details.
